Know your Victoria sponge from your fruit cake? Our bakers are responsible for producing our exceptional "Made by Us" range of biscuits, traybakes, and cakes sold in our farmshops and kitchens. You will ensure we can delight our customers by achieving high standards of food quality and presentation, in line with company standards, and that adequate quantities are produced to meet business requirements.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Adhering to the production schedule to ensure sufficient products are made for anticipated trade levels, enabling us to delight our customers.
  • Following established recipes to ensure consistent taste, presentation, and quality of products.
  • Reporting and escalating issues affecting production and quality to the team leader or line manager, and assisting in finding solutions.
  • Participating actively in the transition of new menu items.
  • Assisting stock controllers in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries correctly, ensuring effective stock rotation at all times.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe environment for colleagues.
  • Working as part of the larger catering team with flexibility and initiative to adapt activities to meet different circumstances.
  • Maintaining company record sheets in accordance with HACCP and our Food Safety Management system.

Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is advantageous, but full training will be provided. A passion for food, especially baking, is essential.
