Tears of Sutton Bridge provides a specialist recovery service from their depots in King’s Lynn, Spalding and Sutton Bridge and pride themselves on their excellent customer service and reputation. For the past 30 years they have made a continued commitment to develop and update a comprehensive fleet of recovery vehicles making them one of the biggest in the area.
Who are we looking for? Due to increasing work volumes and internal progression, we currently have positions available for HGV Class 1 driver to join this well respected company recovering a range of vehicles across the UK. The successful candidate will be a committed and incredibly hard working individual who is naturally affable and able to maintain a good level of customer service. You will be expected to be presentable at all times and uphold a ‘can-do’ attitude.
What will you be doing?
- Receiving jobs either over the phone or on a PDA
- Driving a rigid vehicle recovering cars, vans, caravans and plant equipment
- Attending broken down vehicles or road traffic accidents
- Carrying out specialist vehicle and equipment movements with multitract or HIAB
- Accurately completing paperwork, job sheets and condition reports on arrival
What do you need?
- A HGV Class 1
- Recovery driving experience is advantageous but not essential, as is HIAB experience
- Mechanical knowledge and qualifications are also desirable but not a requirement
- A presentable and tidy appearance
- Good customer service skills
- Happy to undertake an enhanced Police/ DBS check (this is a contractual requirement by the Police force due to the nature of contracted work undertaken)
