Would you like to use your media skills to highlight and tackle global poverty? Tearfund is looking for an experienced Media Officer to achieve high-quality media coverage and to raise awareness of issues of relief and development in line with Tearfund's strategic priorities. Working alongside the Media team, you will be responsible for generating positive press coverage.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Brings strong PR skills with a solid understanding of the UK media
- Has experience of relationship management or working with high-profile people
- Has excellent organisational skills

Tearfund is a Christian relief and development agency and has been working around the world for more than 50 years. We partner through the church and other locally-based organisations to respond to where the need is greatest, helping communities to lift themselves out of poverty. Hybrid Working: This role is eligible for hybrid working. You will be required to work from the Teddington Tearfund office at least 1 day a week with the option to work remotely on other days.
Contract details: This is a 10 month fixed term contract, working 28 hrs (4 days) per week. The full time salary is £41,186 per annum and the part time salary is £32,948 per annum.
