We have an exciting opportunity for a Humanitarian and Conflict Trustee to join our Board of Trustees. Are you an experienced international development professional? Has your experience focused on conflict, peace building and humanitarian engagement? Are you inspired to help the global church live into its integral mission mandate?
Responsibilities
- Set Tearfund's strategic direction
- Ensure legal and financial compliance
- Oversee Tearfund's operations to effectively pursue its mission
Your experience in conflict affected areas, and in responding to humanitarian emergencies will be crucial in enabling the Board to understand and engage wisely with Tearfund's work in these contexts. You will contribute to Tearfund's evolving identity, vision, strategy, partnerships, and all aspects of governance. In this non-executive, Board-level role, you will bring the benefit of deep professional experience, being able to ask strategic questions regarding approach and impact and offer helpful challenge and an external perspective to the executive team that leads this work.
