An exciting opportunity has arisen within a leading vocational training organisation for a commercially driven Regional Business Manager to lead the growth of their training businesses across the South East.
We are seeking a dynamic leader to develop our training division, driving revenue through both new business development and strategic account management. You will play a key role in expanding our footprint in the region, promoting industry-leading safety training solutions, and strengthening relationships with clients across multiple sectors.
The Role
- Direct Reports: 4 team members, including a site manager and training staff
- Working Pattern: Approximately 80% office-based in the South Essex area, with the remainder at our London site
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales
- Develop and execute a regional sales plan to grow training revenue across the South East
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities for training services
- Manage and develop existing customer relationships, cross‑selling training solutions
- Own and deliver against regional revenue targets and KPIs
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting against targets
- Represent the business at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities
- Performance & Reporting
- Track performance against targets and implement corrective actions where required
- Report on regional performance, opportunities, and risks to senior leadership
- Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership and direction to employees within business units
- Coach and develop team members to improve commercial performance, operational delivery, and leadership capability
- Set clear objectives and performance expectations, conducting regular reviews and feedback sessions
- Act as a senior escalation point for operational or people‑related challenges
- Align commercial activity with operational capacity and capability
- Drive continuous improvement across the customer journey and training delivery model
