A leading, global, private equity-backed organisation within the industrial sector is seeking a commercially focused Financial Controller with clear progression to Finance Director for the right individual. This is a highly visible and influential role, partnering closely with operational leaders to drive performance, improve profitability, and support sustainable growth across a portfolio of multi-site business units.
The Role
- Lead financial reporting across multiple business units (daily, weekly, monthly, annual)
- Act as a key business partner to General Managers, providing insight and strategic guidance
- Drive commercial initiatives, including pricing, margin improvement, and cost control
- Strengthen financial controls, governance, and balance sheet integrity
- Improve cash flow and working capital performance
- Lead process improvements and promote operational excellence
- Manage and develop a direct report
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- 3–5 years’ post-qualified experience
- Strong background in multi-site or multi-entity environments
- Commercially astute with excellent business partnering skills
- Proactive, hands-on, and confident in influencing senior stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills (experience with Hyperion advantageous)
- Experience improving processes and internal controls
- Home-based, ideal location would be Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and surrounding areas but must be willing to travel across the UK & Ireland 50% of the week.
