We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Department Manager to join a team at Chichester Food Park. Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you will lead a team of Manufacturing and Production Operatives, ensuring your department operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop your team to deliver high-quality products on time and to specification.
- Foster a positive, high-performance culture through strong, inspirational leadership.
- Manage operational challenges including seasonal fluctuations and raw material variability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage innovation within your team.
- Deliver against KPIs while maintaining GMP standards, food safety compliance, and health & safety regulations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical, Engineering, Hygiene, Logistics, Health & Safety, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and report any signs of modern slavery in line with company policy.
- Proven experience managing teams within Food Manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar factory environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a complex workload.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective decision-maker with strong prioritisation skills.
- Resilient and adaptable, able to lead confidently through change and operational pressure.
- £34,000 - £37,000 salary (depending on experience).
