Job Overview

Reporting to and providing direct support to the General Manager, to manage and lead a team of Warehouse Associates and Admin Associates ensuring delivery of world-class performance levels. Motivate and develop team members to highest possible standards enhancing skill bases, engagement, and future growth opportunities.

Manage processes in alignment with NOS criteria, lean principles with a constant focus on continuous improvement and change management.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead by example and become the role model for their team consistently demonstrating: Values in action, integrity, highest levels of professionalism, attitude, co-operations, temperament, and policy compliance.
  • To plan daily resource requirements effectively and efficiently in alignment with performance targets.
  • To plan and manage daily process area output in alignment with performance and quality targets.
  • To manage people in alignment with all company policies (specifically but not limited to attendance, performance and Health and Safety policy) including the application of disciplinary processes consistency and without exception.
  • To fully converse with all processes being managed to enable all issues to be dealt with timely and effectively, including the application of Warehouse Management systems and other process related applications.
  • To analyse and manipulate data sets to drive a culture of fact-based decision-making. Ability to formulate data and present to peers and higher Management to aid decisions making and action.
  • To create and become the role model for change within the workplace, can identify improvement opportunities in relation to all aspects of the process area including H&S, quality cost reductions and efficiency by eliminating non-value-added activities.
  • To identify and develop direct reports to high standards, by providing timely and relevant development opportunities and training. Building a legacy of high competency ability and engagement within the team.
  • To fully converse and be able to efficiently articulate and promote NOS and corporate initiatives, including but not limited to 6s, waste identification, Poka Yoke, RCCAs, standard work, 6 Sigma etc.
  • To manage processes to the highest health and safety standards, promoting a safety first and individual accountability culture within all aspects of the workplace and daily activities. Ability to identify risk and act accordingly.
  • To have a thorough understanding of regulations and guidelines in relation to warehouse, H&S agency workers regulations, discrimination etc.
  • To possess the ability to engage and efficiently communicate at individual and group level, able to effectively respond directly and appropriately to any feedback or questions. Possess the ability to initiate two-way interaction and positive communication.
  • Must be self-starter, able to manage time, direct reports, and multiple activities, able to appropriately identify times when support guidance or manager interaction is required. Able to interact and engage with peers in a positive way to resolve daily issues and drive change improvement implementation.
  • Able to interact and engage with the client as and when deemed appropriate.
  • Ability to make timely concise and accurate decisions and possesses sound judgment.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience within Aerospace is desirable.
  • Experience of managing a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment is essential.
  • Uses facts and data to inform discussions, issues and find solutions.
  • Demonstrates high levels of professionalism and integrity.
  • Acts as a role model to associates and other employees.
  • Can confidently represent the company both internally and externally.

  • Adheres to company policies and processes working with the HR department to ensure people issues are dealt with legally and ethically in a timely manner.
  • Invests time and effort in associates/team leaders willing to learn and progress. Ensures high performance is acknowledged and rewarded.
  • Manages performance daily, working hard to coach, mentor and develop the team.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 08.00 to 17.00, Friday 08.00 to 13.00 (Flexibility Required month end/Saturdays).
