Teamwork Partnership is recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing food manufacturing business for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the Health & Safety function at their Holme-on-Spalding Moor site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional who is passionate about creating a positive safety culture, ensuring legal compliance, and driving continuous improvement across a busy manufacturing operation. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will take ownership of the site's Health & Safety strategy and performance.
The Role
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will provide expert guidance to management teams, ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, conduct audits and inspections, deliver training, and promote a proactive safety-first culture throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the site's Health & Safety function.
- Develop and implement Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Carry out workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions.
- Deliver Health & Safety inductions, toolbox talks and staff training.
- Advise managers on Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Manage statutory inspections and compliance for equipment and machinery.
- Lead monthly Health & Safety meetings and monitor KPIs.
- Maintain COSHH assessments, emergency procedures and safety documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement and promote a positive Health & Safety culture.
What We're Looking For
- NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety management role within manufacturing or FMCG
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Confident delivering training and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Strong IT, organisational and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- NEBOSH Diploma
- IOSH Membership
- Food manufacturing experience
Salary & Hours
Up to £40,000 DOE. Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Flexibility is required to support the business, including occasional weekend work during audits and peak operational periods.
