Teamwork Partnership is recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Manager – Packaging, Ingredients & Dry Goods Stores to join a fast‑paced food manufacturing operation in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement and supply chain professional with strong FMCG experience to take ownership of packaging, ingredients, and dry goods procurement while ensuring uninterrupted supply to major UK retailers including Tesco, M&S, and Ocado.
The Role
As Procurement Manager, you will lead the sourcing, planning, and management of all packaging materials and food ingredients required across the site. Working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Technical, NPD, Commercial, and Finance teams, you will play a key role in maintaining supply continuity, driving cost savings, and supporting new product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement and material planning for packaging and ingredients
- Attend NPD meetings and source materials for new product development projects
- Set up and maintain product BOMs within planning systems
- Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with retailer specifications including Tesco, M&S, Ocado, and other major customers
- Oversee internal dry goods stores and external storage providers
- Drive cost optimisation and value engineering initiatives
- Manage supply chain risks and resolve material supply issues
- Collaborate with Operations, Technical, Packaging Development, Commercial, and Finance teams
- Monitor procurement data, reporting, and KPI performance
- Support sustainability initiatives across packaging and materials procurement
What We’re Looking For – Essential Experience
- Previous FMCG supply chain or procurement experience
- Experience within food manufacturing, chilled food, protein, or similar sectors
- Strong understanding of packaging materials and food ingredients
- Experience working with major UK retailers such as Tesco, M&S, and Ocado
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and forecasting tools
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of BRCGS standards, retailer codes of practice, and UK food legislation
