We are seeking a reliable and skilled Bendi/ Flexi Driver to join one of our clients' team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and possess the ability to handle various materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to logistics, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations. Must hold a valid FLT licence.
Responsibilities:
- Operate FLT truck to transport goods and materials within a warehouse.
- Load and unload items, ensuring safe handling of heavy lifting as required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and shipments using a Warehouse Management System.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, including verifying the accuracy of shipments.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage inventory levels effectively.
- Utilise forklift equipment for loading and unloading tasks as necessary.
- Apply basic maths skills for measuring, counting, and recording inventory.
Requirements:
- Valid Bendi/ Flexi FLT licence.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
- Strong materials handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Pay: £13.20 per hour
Hours of work: 08:00-17:00, any 5 from 7 (core days Mon-Fri with a Sunday as a potential additional shift)
