As Financial Controller, you will be the backbone of our finance functionowning all day-to-day financial operations, driving accuracy, and ensuring scalable, robust processes to support our growth.

Youll lead the transition away from external reliance on Finance Box, implement tighter financial controls, and embed clear systems across accounting, payroll, and HR administration.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on detail, consistency, and continual improvement.

Key responsibilities:

?Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and board packs with speed, accuracy, and insight

?Manage all transactional finance processesAP, AR, bank reconciliations, credit controland develop best-in-class procedures

?Oversee payroll processing, ensuring completeness, compliance, and alignment with HR records

?Implement and maintain robust HR and finance controls, including agency staff checks, timesheet approvals, and recruitment authorisations

?Ensure all statutory reporting, tax filings, and compliance deadlines are met without exception

?Own cashflow forecasting and management, highlighting risks and opportunities proactively

?Collaborate with the Finance Director to design and embed the future reporting structure and systems

?Drive process improvements that reduce manual work and improve data integrity

?Build strong relationships across operations, HR, and customer service teams to improve the flow of information

?Support audit readiness and ensure records are complete and accessible

?Train and mentor finance team colleagues, building capability and resilience in the function
