Teamwork Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of a new warehouse operation for a major retail/eCommerce client. This is a high-impact role where you will take an empty facility through to full operational go-live, managing all aspects of delivery including people, process, systems, and site infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Lead full project lifecycle from planning through to go-live and handover
- Define scope, milestones, timelines, budget, and governance
- Ensure delivery is on time, within budget, and to scope
- Warehouse Implementation
- Oversee full warehouse setup including layout, racking, MHE, and safety systems
- Coordinate site readiness and operational setup
- Systems & Technology
- Lead implementation and integration of: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Order Management Systems (OMS), ERP and automation technologies
- Manage testing, cutover, and go-live activities
- Operational Design
- Develop and implement processes for: Inbound & receiving, Inventory management, Picking & packing, Dispatch & returns
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as key point of contact for clients and internal teams
- Manage cross-functional stakeholders including operations, IT, and suppliers
- Resource & Team Management
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of warehouse staff
- Manage third-party suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
- Risk & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and regulatory standards
- Establish KPIs and operational controls
Key Requirements
- Proven experience delivering warehouse or logistics implementation projects
- Strong understanding of eCommerce fulfilment and distribution operations
- Experience with WMS, OMS, ERP systems and automation solutions
- Track record of managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong project planning, governance, and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Desirable
- Experience in warehouse start-ups, site launches, or major transformations
- Background in retail, eCommerce, 3PL, or FMCG environments
- Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, APM)
