To ensure that all work processes defined in the Business blueprint are closely followed and adhered to on site; ensure all operating procedures, safety rules and internal regulations are promoted and complied with, to develop and lead the continuous improvement agenda for relevant site/s in the UK.
Work with the UK CI Manager to lead and develop CI initiatives across the site and wider UK business. The site CI Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality and customer satisfaction. This role leads process improvement projects, implements best practices, and fosters a culture of ongoing improvement within the organization.
Key Activities / Accountabilities
- Identify, plan, and execute continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Analyze operational processes and performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops, training, and coaching sessions to promote CI principles across teams and departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and ensure sustainability.
- Monitor project outcomes and report results to senior management.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
- Promote employee engagement in CI activities and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
Essential Education and/or Training
- Experience of the logistics industry.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt), or similar methodologies.
- Proven experience in process improvement, project management, or operations excellence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
- Experience in the logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing sector is a plus.
