Teamwork Partnership is recruiting an experienced and hands‐on Manufacturing Director to lead multi‐site manufacturing operations in a fast‐paced, high‐volume FMCG food manufacturing environment. This senior leadership opportunity is responsible for driving operational excellence, commercial performance, continuous improvement, and people leadership across production and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing operations across production and warehouse functions
- Drive operational performance and execution excellence across all sites
- Ensure delivery of high‐volume ambient food production targets
- Maintain strong shop floor presence and visible leadership
- Work closely with major UK supermarkets to deliver quality, service, and cost targets
- Support commercial teams with operational insight and feasibility planning
- Ensure customer requirements and promotional demands are achieved
- Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives across all manufacturing operations
- Deliver efficiency gains across labour, waste, yield, and downtime
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and KPI ownership
- Lead and develop senior operational leadership teams
- Build a strong performance culture with accountability and engagement
- Coach and develop operational managers and site leaders
- Ensure compliance with BRC, food safety, hygiene, and HSE standards
- Maintain retailer audit standards and operational controls
- Oversee risk management and incident resolution processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Director, Operations Director, or Head of Operations within FMCG manufacturing
- Strong experience managing multi‐site manufacturing operations
- Experience working with major UK retailers and supermarket accounts
- Background within high‐volume ambient food manufacturing
- Strong commercial and operational understanding
- Proven track record leading operational transformation and CI programmes
- Hands‐on leadership style with strong people management capability
Desirable Experience
- Ethnic food manufacturing experience
- Lean manufacturing or CI methodology experience
- Warehouse and supply chain operational leadership
