The Role
- Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across a range of material specialisms
- Supporting practical workshop lessons with a strict focus on health, safety, and machinery protocols
- Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback on design portfolios and practical outcomes
- Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Working collaboratively within a supportive Design & Technology team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A degree in a Design & Technology-related subject
- Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4
- Strong subject knowledge, CAD/CAM proficiency, and confident workshop practice
- High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress
- A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach
