We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded and progressive academy trust located in Newcastle upon Tyne. The academy boasts state-of-the-art facilities and a passionate leadership team focused on driving up learning standards across the school by utilizing top-tier learning resources.
This position is ideal for a proactive, highly organized individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment. Working at the heart of the school's administrative division, you will manage the daily operations of the print room, transforming digital teaching designs into physical classroom booklets, leaflets, and learning packs.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete high-volume copying, printing, collating, binding, and laminating requests for all academic departments.
- Prioritize urgent printing tasks, such as live examination papers, while ensuring strict confidentiality and security protocols.
- Maintain the print room in a clean, orderly, and safe condition in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Provide technical advice to teaching staff regarding the best layout, paper type, and finishing methods for their projects.
- Keep an accurate log of print room usage and department costs for internal budget tracking.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues on digital printing presses and multi-functional devices.
- Proven experience operating professional print room equipment or working within a fast-paced commercial print environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and print management systems.
- Exceptional time-management abilities and a calm manner when working under pressure to meet lesson deadlines.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy boxes of paper and print consumables safely.
- An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service is mandatory for this immediate vacancy.
