A well-established independent senior school in Reading is seeking a PE Teacher to begin a full-time role in January 2026. The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and new entrants with strong coaching backgrounds.

This independent day school educates 900 pupils aged 11–18 and is highly regarded for its academic achievements, pastoral ethos, and strong co-curricular programme. Situated near the centre of Reading, it offers excellent transport connections for staff across Berkshire and the Thames Valley. The PE department benefits from sports halls, a newly resurfaced athletics track, netball courts, astroturf pitches, a gymnasium, and first-class strength and conditioning facilities. The school’s teams regularly compete in regional leagues and national tournaments. Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Sport Science, PE, or a related field

  • Ability to teach PE from KS3 to KS5
  • Experience in team coaching or specialist sports is highly desirable
