The school is seeking an experienced and analytical Data Manager to oversee the management of student and school data systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure that data systems operate effectively and that performance data is accurate, accessible and used to inform decision making across the school.

  • Manage the school’s Management Information System (MIS)
  • Coordinate assessment data collection and reporting cycles
  • Produce data reports for senior leaders, governors and departments
  • Monitor student progress, attendance and performance data
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all school systems
  • Manage statutory returns including the school census
  • Support staff with data systems and provide training where required
  • Develop reporting dashboards and analysis tools
  • Maintain compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure accurate data input and reporting

Requirements:

  • Experience working with school data systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Strong IT skills including Excel and data reporting tools
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly to staff and leaders
  • Experience working in a school environment is desirable
