Behaviour Mentor requirements:
- Proven experience supporting children or young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs (in school, youth work or mentoring settings)
- Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
- Passionate about making a positive impact on children’s wellbeing and learning outcomes
- Skilled at implementing behaviour intervention strategies and restorative approaches
- Able to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff and external professionals
- Committed to promoting inclusion, building trust and modelling positive behaviour
The Role:
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to support pupils in managing emotions and behaviour
- Build positive relationships and provide consistent, structured guidance
- Help pupils re-engage with learning and develop strategies for long-term success
- Support teachers in creating calm, positive learning environments
