We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and committed Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Gravesend, starting as soon as possible. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. - Deliver engaging literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject lessons
- Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and secondary school transition
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL
- Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours
- Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
- Provide targeted interventions to support pupil attainment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
- Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
- Support enrichment activities, school events, and extra-curricular opportunities
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
