About the Role

This full-time, permanent position involves working within a large and supportive Science team to support a heavy schedule of practical experiments. You will be responsible for the preparation of materials for Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level classes. The role requires someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to health and safety standards within a busy laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and trial complex apparatus for GCSE and A-Level practicals, ensuring accuracy and safety at all times.
  • Manage the prep room effectively, ensuring all chemicals and equipment are stored according to rigorous safety guidelines.
  • Support the Head of Science with annual safety audits, census reporting, and the procurement of new laboratory resources.
  • Maintain the school’s technical equipment inventory and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory glassware.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a technician or experience working within a classroom setting.
  • Right to work in the UK and a valid enhanced DBS.

Salary

£26,000 – £30,500 per annum.
