We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Bristol, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 and enjoys delivering engaging lessons that inspire pupils academically, socially, and emotionally. As a Year 3 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the Lower Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will foster independence, resilience, and a love of learning while ensuring each pupil makes excellent progress. Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents, you will provide personalised support for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum
- Deliver engaging literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject lessons
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL
- Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours
- Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
- Provide targeted interventions to support pupil attainment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
- Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
- Support enrichment activities, school events, and extra-curricular opportunities
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable
- Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
- Work effectively as part of a professional, supportive team
