The Role

As the School Finance Officer, you will support a wide range of financial processes and ensure the financial operations of the school run smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with regulations. Your responsibilities include:

  • Processing expenditure and income transactions across multiple school accounts
  • Managing purchase orders, invoices, supplier relationships, and credit control
  • Keeping detailed records of departmental budgets and spending
  • Supporting report production for senior leaders, governors, and trust finance teams
  • Handling bank reconciliations, cash management, and trip finances
  • Supporting financial governance processes, including audits and policy reviews
  • Assisting with payroll checks and staff financial documentation
  • Implementing and monitoring financial procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Maintaining organised, audit-ready financial records
