We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled IT Technician to join an expanding Academy school in Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent position supporting the school’s growing digital learning environment.

The school uses a wide range of cloud-based platforms, classroom devices, and educational software, and the IT Support Team plays a key role in ensuring technology enhances teaching and learning effectively.
About the Role
Responsibilities include:
- Providing first-line and second-line technical support
- Managing hardware, software, networks, and user accounts
- Supporting staff and students with IT issues in person and remotely
- Maintaining inventory and assisting with upgrades and installations
- Ensuring cybersecurity protocols and data protection compliance
- Assisting with AV, classroom technology, and school events
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in IT support, preferably in an educational or multi-user environment
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, ChromeOS, and basic network management
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Relevant IT qualification desirable (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Google Certified)
Salary
Paid according to experience on support staff scale.
