A large, well-established secondary school in the West Midlands is seeking a professional and discreet HR & Staff Administration Officer to join its busy support team. This is a pivotal role within the school, supporting leadership, teaching staff and external agencies to ensure that staffing processes run smoothly and compliantly. The Role

  • Provide day-to-day HR and personnel administration support, ensuring staff records are accurate, up to date and fully compliant with safeguarding and employment regulations.
  • Maintain staff personnel files, contracts and compliance records.
  • Manage recruitment administration, including adverts, references and onboarding.
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks (DBS, right to work, qualifications).
  • Support absence monitoring and return-to-work processes.
  • Assist with payroll changes, starters and leavers.
  • Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries from staff.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders and external HR providers, ensuring processes are followed consistently and confidentially.
