We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive special educational needs setting, working with pupils who have Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). This full-time, permanent position begins March 2026 and offers an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children by supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

SEN Teacher (MLD) Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with MLD.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to promote engagement, independence, and progress.
- Assess and monitor pupil development, maintaining accurate records and contributing to EHCP reviews.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support children’s learning and wellbeing.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, promoting inclusion and celebrating achievement.
SEN Teacher (MLD) Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties or within a SEND setting.
- Strong understanding of SEND frameworks, differentiation, and inclusive classroom practice.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children’s diverse needs.
- Passion for helping every child achieve success academically and personally.
