Enably is hiring on behalf of a high-growth B2B SaaS business looking for a Head of Sales to lead the team, improve commercial performance, and build a more predictable sales function for the next stage of growth.

About the Client

The business already has strong product traction, an established customer base, and a sales team in place. The next challenge is about raising the standard of execution: stronger outbound, better pipeline quality, clearer forecasting, and more consistent performance.

This is a hands‑on leadership role. The right person will be a proven sales leader first, but still close enough to customers and deals to know what is happening on the ground and step in where it matters.

Location

With HQ in Belfast, NI, the business operates across the UK and Europe.

Northern Ireland would be particularly useful for closer collaboration with the leadership team, but strong candidates elsewhere in the UK or EU are genuinely in scope.

The opportunity

This is not about inheriting a finished playbook.

The Head of Sales will be expected to help answer questions like:

  • Where should the team focus and why?
  • How does outbound become more productive and consistent?
  • Where are deals slowing down or falling away?
  • How should SDRs and AEs be coached and developed?
  • Which segments or markets represent the strongest opportunities?
  • What needs to change in the sales motion as the business grows?
  • How does forecasting become something leadership can genuinely rely on?

There is real authority to improve things, alongside accountability for the results.

What you'll own

  • Sales strategy and execution
  • Leadership, coaching and development of the SDR and AE team
  • Outbound performance and pipeline generation
  • Sales process from first engagement through to closed-won
  • Forecasting, pipeline health and revenue visibility
  • Performance management and clear expectations across the team
  • Key and strategically important opportunities
  • Close alignment with Marketing and Product around ICP, messaging, customer insight and market opportunity

A great fit for the role

Is someone who has already operated in a B2B SaaS sales environment and knows how to create consistent commercial performance, not just manage what already exists.

You're likely someone who:

  • Has a genuine hunter mentality and knows how to create pipeline, not just manage what lands
  • Has led and developed SaaS sales teams and can raise the standard of performance around them
  • Knows what good outbound looks like and can coach it properly
  • Has personally sold into SMB and/or mid-market customers and can still step into important deals when needed
  • Builds healthier, more predictable pipeline and brings strong forecasting discipline
  • Qualifies hard, prioritises well and is comfortable walking away from weak opportunities
  • Uses data to improve decisions without hiding behind dashboards
  • Challenges assumptions, spots where the sales motion is weak and acts on it
  • Sets clear expectations, coaches directly and holds people accountable
  • Can move comfortably between commercial strategy, team coaching and getting involved in a deal that matters
  • Has the commercial instinct to spot new segments, markets or opportunities worth pursuing

This is still a stage where leadership means building as well as leading.

If you want to inherit a large sales organisation, established territories and a finished playbook, this probably is not the role for you!

Experience in vertical SaaS, operationally complex industries or international markets would be useful, but none are essential.

Why this is a great opportunity

The foundations are already there: a proven product, real customer traction, a team in place and clear commercial ambition.

The opportunity is to help build the next version of the sales function. That means:

  • Real ownership of sales strategy
  • Direct access to senior leadership
  • The chance to shape how the team operates and performs
  • Visible impact across the wider business
  • Scope to improve both the sales motion and where the business goes next

For the right person, this is a chance to build something with substance behind it rather than start from zero.

What's on offer

  • Highly competitive base salary DOE, plus uncapped commission
  • Stock options
  • Private health insurance for you and your family
  • Company pension scheme
  • 35 days annual leave inc. public holidays
  • Work from home budget
  • Learning and development support
  • Regular team events and company meet-ups

Equal opportunities

Enably is committed to fair and inclusive hiring and works with clients who share that commitment.

Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified candidates from all backgrounds. Please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
