The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced

BMS Sales Engineer to join a growing building technology business and play a key role in developing new commercial opportunities across the BMS, energy management and smart buildings sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying customer needs and turning technical solutions into commercial opportunities.

You'll be working with building owners, facilities managers, consultants, contractors and end users, helping them improve building performance, reduce energy costs and get more from their existing BMS infrastructure.

The Role

You'll be responsible for

  • Developing new BMS service, maintenance and upgrade opportunities.
  • Building relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identifying opportunities through networking, referrals, tenders and business development.
  • Attending customer meetings and site surveys.
  • Understanding customer requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Preparing technical quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
  • Presenting solutions and negotiating commercial terms.
  • Converting opportunities into profitable contracts.
  • Developing long-term customer relationships and additional sales opportunities.
  • Promoting BMS optimisation, analytics, FDD and smart building solutions.
  • Working closely with engineering and delivery teams.
  • Managing your sales pipeline and achieving agreed targets.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you’ll have

  • Proven experience within BMS / BEMS, preferably in technical sales, service sales or business development.
  • Good knowledge of BMS service, maintenance and upgrades.
  • Experience with platforms such as Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Distech, Siemens, Delta or similar.
  • A proven track record of winning new business and developing customer accounts.
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A commercially minded and proactive approach.
  • The confidence to engage with customers at both technical and senior levels.
  • A full UK driving licence.
