An established engineering and manufacturing business in Poole is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join its growing Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in precision inspection, metrology, and quality control within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct goods inward and final inspection activities.
- Inspect components against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Operate a range of inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators.
- Create and maintain CMM inspection programmes.
- Complete inspection reports, NCRs, and quality documentation.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Assist with PPAP, FAIR, and ISIR documentation.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure product conformity.
About You:
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of metrology and dimensional inspection.
- Experience using CMM equipment and inspection software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
