About the Role as Site Production Lead

This is more than just another production management role. It's an opportunity to take ownership of an entire manufacturing operation, influence business performance, and become a key member of the senior leadership team.

Responsibilities as Site Production Lead

  • Leading the Production Operation
  • Taking ownership of the site's operational performance.
  • Delivering products Right First Time, On Time and In Full.
  • Driving productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Resolving operational challenges and removing barriers to success.
  • Planning & Production Control
  • Managing production schedules and capacity planning.
  • Ensuring work orders are released and delivered in line with customer demand.
  • Working closely with internal teams to maintain production flow.
  • Identifying risks early and implementing solutions.
  • People Leadership
  • Leading, coaching and developing production and support teams.
  • Creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
  • Conducting regular performance reviews and supporting employee development.
  • Ensuring teams have the resources and direction needed to succeed.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Promoting accurate use of ERP and production systems.
  • Monitoring performance through KPIs and operational reporting.
  • Driving improvements in quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Supporting a proactive Health & Safety culture across the site.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Acting as the operational point of contact for customers.
  • Managing delivery expectations and communicating proactively.
  • Working cross-functionally to ensure customer requirements are consistently achieved.

What experience you will need as Site Production Lead

  • A proven background leading production or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong planning, scheduling and resource management experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A track record of improving operational performance through data and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of operational KPIs and customer delivery.
