We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a busy precision engineering and subcontract manufacturing environment. This role is ideally suited to someone with experience setting and operating Heidenhain-controlled machining centres and producing high-quality components across a variety of materials. Experience with programming is advantageous but not essential.

  • Setting and operating 3 and 4-axis CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls
  • Manufacturing precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Interpreting technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances
  • Carrying out self-inspection using manual measuring equipment
  • Making tooling changes and offset adjustments as required
  • Maintaining machining quality and production efficiency
  • Ensuring a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department

Previous experience operating and setting CNC milling machines is essential. Experience with Heidenhain controls is essential. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is required. Understanding of geometric tolerances and machining specifications is necessary. Competent using manual inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality is important. Basic programming knowledge would be beneficial but is not essential. Must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate. Company pension scheme. Free on-site parking. Early finish every Friday. 4-day working week option.
