We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a well-established and growing precision engineering manufacturer based in Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who can confidently programme, set and operate CNC milling and turning machines from scratch in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming CNC milling and turning machines from scratch
- Setting and operating CNC machinery
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Selecting tooling, offsets and cutting parameters
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Carrying out first-off inspections and quality checks
- Troubleshooting machining issues and improving cycle times
Requirements
- Proven CNC machining experience within a precision engineering environment
- Ability to programme from scratch on both CNC mills and CNC lathes
- Strong understanding of Fanuc, Siemens or similar controls
- Experience with low to medium batch work
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
