TeamJobs is excited to partner with a long‑established and growing engineering company in Ferndown, who manufacture high‑precision components for the aerospace and defence sectors. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for a dedicated Quality Inspector to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out first‑off, in‑process and final inspection of precision‑machined components
- Producing FAIRs (EN9102 Rev C) and completing all required documentation
- Using a wide range of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and optical systems
- Operating and programming CMM equipment (Aberlink Axiom Too preferred, but training offered for the right candidate)
- Conducting incoming goods inspection and ensuring full traceability
- Supporting root cause and corrective action investigations
- Working closely with machinists, engineering and quality teams to maintain the highest manufacturing standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within aerospace, defence, or precision engineering
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T
- Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 quality systems
- FAIR / EN9102 experience
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and contribute to continuous improvement
