A precision engineering manufacturer is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join their growing technical team in Poole. This is a great opportunity for someone with offline programming and CAM experience who enjoys working on complex components and improving manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Offline programming and optimisation of CNC milling programs
  • Developing machining strategies from engineering drawings and 3D models
  • Supporting machine setup, prove-outs and troubleshooting
  • Improving tooling, cycle times and production efficiency
  • Supporting operators and sharing best practice on the shop floor
  • Working closely with engineering and production teams

Qualifications

  • Experience with CNC programming in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Vericut or similar)
  • Good understanding of multi-axis CNC machining
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
