As a Loading Shovel Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of loading shovel machinery, supporting site operations and ensuring materials are moved and managed effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures.
- Load and move aggregates, soils, waste materials, and other site products.
- Feed processing and production equipment as required.
- Stockpile, sort, and manage materials across the site.
- Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all site health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Work closely with site supervisors and other operatives to ensure operational targets are met.
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Loading Shovel Operator ticket.
- Previous experience operating loading shovels in a quarry, recycling, waste management, aggregates, or similar environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety on site.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
