Teamforce Labour are currently recruiting experienced and safety-conscious LXA’s (Level Crossing Attendants) for upcoming Rail Safety Critical works across London, Kent and Sussex. These roles will involve supporting planned rail possessions and infrastructure works, ensuring the safe operation and monitoring of level crossings within live railway environments.

Job Details

  • Position: LXA (Level Crossing Attendant)
  • Locations: London, Kent & Sussex
  • Shift Patterns: Singles, Doubles & Triple Shifts Available
  • Dates: Friday 29th May – Sunday 31st May
  • Shifts: Days, Nights & Weekend Possessions
  • Duration: Week 9 Possession Works
  • Rates: Competitive rates available

Role & Responsibilities

  • Carry out LXA duties in accordance with Network Rail and Sentinel safety standards
  • Ensure the safe management and monitoring of level crossings during works
  • Maintain clear communication with COSS teams, Signallers, and site management
  • Control safe access and movement through designated crossing points
  • Follow all operational briefings and safe systems of work
  • Remain vigilant to changing operational conditions and site risks
  • Report hazards, incidents, or safety concerns immediately
  • Support safe and efficient delivery of rail possession activities

Requirements

  • Valid Sentinel Card with in-date LXA competency
  • In-date PTS certification
  • Previous experience working within Rail Safety Critical environments
  • Good understanding of level crossing procedures and rail safety protocols
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Strong communication and situational awareness skills
  • Additional rail competencies advantageous
