Teamforce Labour is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Handyman / MEWP Operator to join our team on a project in Under River, Kent. This is a dual‑role position requiring an IPAF‑qualified operative who can not only safely operate a MEWP but also undertake a variety of general maintenance and site support tasks. This role would suit a practical, hands‑on individual with a strong background in general building maintenance, repairs, and working at height.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) in accordance with IPAF regulations and site procedures.
- Carry out minor decoration and making‑good works.
- Complete basic pointing and masonry repairs.
- Remove redundant services and associated fixtures.
- Replace damaged or missing roof tiles.
- Clean and clear gutters, downpipes, and roof areas.
- Assist skilled tradespeople by providing access and support from the MEWP.
- Perform general handyman duties as required across the project.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean and organised working area.
- Adhere to all site health and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Valid IPAF Licence (3a/3b minimum).
- Previous experience operating MEWPs on construction or maintenance projects.
- Proven handyman or multi‑trade experience.
- Comfortable working at height.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CSCS card preferred.
- Full UK driving licence desirable.
