Teamforce are currently recruiting for an experienced Civils Ganger with troughing experience to lead a team on ongoing works in York. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering key infrastructure and civil engineering projects.

Role Overview

As a Civils Ganger, you will be responsible for supervising a small team on site, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification. A strong background in troughing installation is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of operatives on site
  • Oversee installation of troughing routes, including excavation, laying, and reinstatement
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with project specifications and deadlines
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety on site
  • Liaise with site managers, engineers, and other trades
  • Complete daily reports and assist with planning of works

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Civils Ganger or Supervisor
  • Strong experience in troughing installation (essential)
  • Valid CSCS card (Gold or Black preferred)
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification (preferred)
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans
