Teamforce Labour are currently seeking an experienced P6 Planner on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planning professional with a strong background in civil engineering projects to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex works.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience working within a civils environment and be confident producing, maintaining, and communicating robust project programmes using Primavera P6. As a P6 Planner, you will be responsible for developing and managing detailed project programmes across civil engineering works, ensuring accurate progress reporting and effective programme control. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to provide clear planning support throughout the project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, updating, and maintaining detailed Primavera P6 programmes
- Establishing logical sequences, key milestones, and critical paths
- Carrying out progress updates, impact assessments, and what-if scenarios
- Producing programme narratives, reports, and dashboards for internal and client use
- Supporting change control, delay analysis, and programme recovery where required
- Attending project and planning meetings, providing expert planning input
- Ensuring programmes align with contract requirements and project objectives
Requirements:
- Strong, hands‐on experience using Primavera P6
- Previous experience as a Planner within civil engineering or infrastructure projects (preferred)
- A solid understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
- Experience working with project teams to manage progress and change
- Good knowledge of NEC and/or other standard construction contracts (desirable)
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- The ability to work independently while supporting wider project teams
