Teamforce Labour is currently recruiting for an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to work on a busy site in Newhaven.

Role Overview

As a Loading Shovel Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of loading shovel machinery, supporting site operations and ensuring materials are moved and managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures.
  • Load and move aggregates, soils, waste materials, and other site products.
  • Feed processing and production equipment as required.
  • Stockpile, sort, and manage materials across the site.
  • Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Follow all site health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Work closely with site supervisors and other operatives to ensure operational targets are met.

Requirements

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS Loading Shovel Operator ticket.
  • Previous experience operating loading shovels in a quarry, recycling, waste management, aggregates, or similar environment.
  • Good understanding of health and safety on site.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
