Overview
Teamforce Labour is seeking an experienced Plant & Vehicle Marshaller for a long-term infrastructure project in Rossendale, Greater Manchester (BB4). This position requires compulsory LANTRA Traffic Management training and focuses on working on the public highway.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely marshal plant machinery and site vehicles operating on and around the public highway.
- Direct and control vehicle movements to ensure the safety of operatives, pedestrians, and members of the public.
- Maintain safe segregation between plant, vehicles, and pedestrians.
- Communicate effectively with plant operators, delivery drivers, and site management.
- Monitor site access points and traffic management routes.
- Coordinate deliveries and vehicle movements to minimise disruption.
- Carry out visual safety checks and report any hazards or unsafe practices.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with site health & safety procedures and highway regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid CPCS or NPORS (CSCS Logo) Plant & Vehicle Marshal qualification.
- LANTRA Traffic Management qualification – Essential.
- Previous experience working as a Plant & Vehicle Marshaller on busy construction or civil engineering projects.
- Experience working on the public highway is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of construction site safety procedures and traffic management.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full PPE.
