Teamforce Labour are currently recruiting an experienced Engineering Supervisor (ES) to work on the rail infrastructure across Kent and the South East. The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for the safe delivery and supervision of engineering works on site, ensuring full compliance with Network Rail standards, safe systems of work, and possession arrangements. This is a key safety‑critical role, requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage site activities effectively in a live rail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Engineering Supervisor (ES) in accordance with Network Rail standards
- Supervise and control engineering works within possessions and work sites
- Ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to approved method statements and work plans
- Brief staff, contractors, and visitors on site‑specific safety arrangements
- Liaise with the Person in Charge of Possession (PICOP), COSS, and other safety‑critical staff
- Monitor site conditions and stop work if unsafe conditions arise
- Ensure accurate completion of site documentation, permits, and reports
- Promote a strong safety culture and compliance at all times
Requirements
- Current and valid Engineering Supervisor (ES) competency
- Valid PTS
- Proven experience working as an ES within the rail industry
- Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards, rules, and safe systems of work
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and possessions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Right to work in the UK
