Wakefield (on-site 3 days per week) Team 17 Digital Limited is seeking a Senior Technician to join the IT Services team at our Manchester studio. The focus will be on managing the service desk queue, taking ownership of complex tickets, implementing and maintaining improvements to our services, and mentoring other Technicians. We are looking for a candidate who is ready for the challenge of working as part of a team in an organisation with a global brand and approximately 400 employees. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to learn and expand their knowledge of all areas of technology in a fast-moving environment undergoing significant technical and cultural transformation.

- Essential experience:
- Implementing and managing third-line technologies, including network infrastructure, server estate, virtualisation, monitoring
- Managing and configuring Microsoft management and security technologies such as Intune, 365, Active Directory (both on premise and Azure), Defender
- OS Deployment & management tools (Intune, Datto, MDM)
- PowerShell
- Software & Hardware troubleshooting
- Strong time-management and documentation skills
- MCSA certification
- Microsoft Entra, 365 & Intune
- Windows & MacOS
- Backup administration, preferably Rubrik
- Managing virtualisation technologies
- Monitoring tools, such as Datadog
- Atlassian administration
- Service Management/ITIL
- SaaS Application Management
- Supporting Games Development

The successful candidate will need to be an excellent communicator and team player. The IT team work very closely internally and with all members of staff across the organisation and the candidate will be a very visible face of the department. A calm, logical and considered approach to problems and situations is also required. Many issues arising in the company’s particular industry are often without precedent and must be analysed and resolved intelligently.
We are looking for excellent fault finding and troubleshooting skills, with a collaborative approach to work and an enthusiastic can-do attitude. The role will offer hands-on experience with a multitude of exciting technologies ranging from security to games consoles, from AV to games development software. A full clean driver’s license will be required for infrequent visits to other sites.
