At our core, we develop and publish games to bring quality gaming experiences to players across multiple platforms. We focus on premium, rather than free-to-play games, and we’ve a portfolio of over 100 games, including iconic titles such as Worms, Overcooked, Hell Let Loose and Dredge. The games we publish top the charts on most gaming platforms and we have won many awards from BAFTAs to Golden Joysticks, as well as winning Publisher of the Year at the recent esteemed Develop Star Awards.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Community Manager to develop and grow our gaming communities for a variety of our new releases! This is a great opportunity to work alongside our established Community Team across multiple titles, delivering meaningful campaigns for our diverse portfolio.
What you will do:
You’ll be the main point of contact for Community and Social on a range of titles within our portfolio
Work with the Community & Influencer Relations Lead and Senior Community Manager to create and execute community and social strategies for your assigned titles
Collect, evaluate and disseminate community feedback to all relevant stakeholders, helping to identify key areas of focus to improve engagement, retention and widen appeal.
Work closely with internal development, marketing and sales teams, as well as external partners to coordinate community led projects and ensure deadlines are met
Create and deploy a robust and engaging social media content calendar for your titles, alongside a regular cadence of community engagement.
Organise and host livestreams in line with community campaign plans
Help refine and maintain a consistent and robust engagement schedule across T17 and title channels
Grow passionate communities across community and social channels such as TikTok, X, Instagram, Discord, and Reddit
Co-ordinate with external resource such as Discord Mods to ensure everyone is aligned in delivering top tier engagement and support to our audiences
How will you do it
Through your demonstrable community management experience having built, developed and maintained impassioned, vibrant communities.
Via your prior experience in developing inventive and meaningful campaign strategies that have driven demonstratable success.
With a data driven approach to track, measure and feedback on social analytics, adapting plans or approaches to ensure campaigns deliver the best results possible, identifying key learnings for the future and communicating with key stakeholders on a regular basis through reporting and answering questions.
Your Day-To-Day
Create strategy to deliver success and achieve buy-in from key stakeholders.
Identify and implement tactics to deliver against the strategy.
Build a strong relationship with external developers to help optimise the game and delight our players
Be a part of key meetings and presentations
Engage with the Communities on a regular basis, tracking and collecting sentiment
Regular livestreaming opportunities on the Team17 Twitch channel
Create and manage numerous social media calendars for consistent output across each game’s channels
Participate in regular capture sessions for content
What You\’ll Need
Proven experience as a Community Manager.
Track record of setting community strategy and delivering against it with successful results.
Knowledge & understanding of creating content for, and managing social calendars across TikTok, X, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube – including the ability to adapt to key trends.
Calm and professional communication style with experience of communicating at all levels with confidence.
Excellent communications skills with the ability to build effective, collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Solution focused mindset.
Creative with experience of knowing how to optimise content for different platforms and audiences.
Experience of working across multiple gamer-centric platforms, including Steam, Discord, and Reddit.
Ability to monitor trends and take advantage of new emerging channels and platforms.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work through issues, dealing with those with the biggest impact first and foremost.
Working knowledge of Adobe products for image and video editing.
Experience in livestreaming.

Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process for the Community Manager role includes 3 stages:
- 1st Interview (45 to 60 mins): A conversation with the hiring manager to discuss your experience, the role, and life at Team17. This is also an opportunity to ask any questions.
- 2nd Interview (60 minutes): A deeper evaluation of your expertise through a presentation stage.
- 3rd interview (60 mins) Meeting several colleagues from our Marketing team.
Our average process takes around 3 to 4 weeks but we will always work around your availability. You will have the chance to speak to our recruitment team at various points during your process but if you do have any specific questions ahead of this please contact: simon.halkyard@team17.com. Prior to interview we usually supply you will some of the questions that will be asked of you in advance to support your preparation. We will also establish with you how you prefer feedback.
