This is a hands-on manufacturing role for someone who wants to be on the shopfloor, not behind a desk. As Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be right at the heart of machining activity, taking components from CNC programming through prove-out and FAI approval, solving real production problems and continuously improving how parts are made. If you're most comfortable around CNC machines, tooling, fixtures and process optimisation, this role will feel like home.

Whats in it for you

  • You’ll be trusted to own manufacturing processes end to end, with the space to improve, refine and influence how high-precision components are produced.
  • This is a technically focused role where your machining knowledge directly impacts quality, efficiency and output, rather than a step into people management or admin-heavy work.

Benefits

  • Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
  • A genuinely hands-on shopfloor engineering role
  • Exposure to complex, high-precision machining environments
  • Opportunity to improve and shape production processes and cells
  • Stable, long-term position within regulated manufacturing

What you’ll be getting stuck into as a Manufacturing Engineer

  • Programming, setting and proving out CNC milling and turning processes through to FAI approval
  • Troubleshooting machining issues and driving root-cause fixes on the shopfloor
  • Improving process capability, control and consistency across production
  • Supporting continuous improvement activity, including lean-based projects
  • Assisting with the setup and optimisation of production cells and machine shop layouts
  • Ensuring documentation, inspections and process controls meet quality requirements

What you’ll bring to the table as a Manufacturing Engineer

  • Hands-on CNC programming and prove-out experience in a machining environment
  • Strong understanding of CNC milling and/or turning processes
  • Proven ability to problem-solve machining and process-related issues
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement principles
  • Experience supporting or setting up machine shops or production cells

If you’re a Manufacturing Engineer who wants to stay close to the machines, solve real production problems and continuously improve how parts are made, this is well worth a conversation.
