A large critical infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Programme Investment Manager to drive the effective delivery of strategic investment programmes, ranging from £330m to £1.5b in value. Along with a salary of £70,000 per annum, you will also receive a range of benefits, plus a bonus and hybrid working (2 days per week in the Brighton office, but flexible on how this can work). You will be responsible for ensuring that programme outcomes and benefits are delivered in line with their Price Review Business Plan and strategic objectives. This is a highly visible and cross-functional leadership role requiring excellent programme governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. As Programme Investment Manager, your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Strategic Programme Leadership Team in one or more strategic programmes and take accountability for highlighting variances from plans and proposing corrective actions to the strategic programme leadership team. Leading on delivery framework reporting and inputting key information to financial reporting to shareholders and investors. Enabling the effective implementation and delivery of organisations execution plan by driving the successful delivery of interventions to time, cost and benefit. Ensuring the planned level of benefits associated with TOTEX investments are being realised. This will involve proactively liaising across several directorates such as Asset Management, Capital Delivery, Finance, Operations and IT delivery streams to provide a clear view of any risk or opportunity to plan delivery and support Strategic Programme Leadership Teams in deciding priorities. Were looking for a Programme Investment Manager with: Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Asset Management, Risk, Science). APM, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent project/programme management qualifications strongly preferred. Extensive experience in end-to-end programme management of large, complex portfolios, ideally £300m+. Proven track record of delivering regulated infrastructure or utilities programmes. Demonstrated ability to optimise delivery frameworks, drive efficiencies, and manage high-value investment plans. Familiar with the TOTEX framework and capital investment drivers in regulated environments. Awareness of future trends and challenges impacting infrastructure investment. Strong experience monitoring and managing programme-level budgets, tracking benefits realisation, and supporting business case development. Comfortable producing and interpreting financial reports for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., shareholders, regulators, board). Skilled in preparing high-quality programme reports, dashboards, and insights for decision-making forums (e.g., Investment Committees, regulatory returns). Experience supporting programme governance and implementing reporting frameworks aligned to business and regulatory needs.
