Your responsibilities as Pre-Construction Manager:
- Lead and develop estimating and bid teams to deliver high-quality tender submissions
- Oversee the full tender process from enquiry through to submission and award
- Review cost plans, pricing strategies, risk allowances and value engineering opportunities
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, supply chain partners and key stakeholders
- Support business development activities and contribute to future pipeline growth
- Drive continuous improvement across pre-construction processes, systems and reporting
What we're looking for in a Pre-Construction Manager:
- Previous experience within pre-construction, estimating or commercial construction environments
- Experience managing estimators, bid managers or bid writing teams
- Strong understanding of UK construction contracts and procurement routes including JCT and Design & Build
- Proven commercial awareness with the ability to assess risk, opportunity and project viability
- Ability to manage multiple tender submissions and stakeholder requirements simultaneously
