What you'll be getting stuck into as a CNC Machinist:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC sliding head or milling machines
- Loading tooling, setting datums and preparing machines for production
- Editing and optimising G-code and/or CAM programmes to improve cycle times
- Producing first-off components and carrying out in-process inspection
- Reading and working to detailed engineering drawings and GD&T
- Troubleshooting machining issues to maintain accuracy and output
What you'll bring to the table as a CNC Machinist:
- Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC machinery
- Experience with sliding head lathes (Citizen, Star, Tornos) or 3 & 5-axis milling
- Strong understanding of precision measurement and engineering drawings
- Experience machining stainless steel, titanium, aluminium or similar materials
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001 or AS9100
