Keeping a busy construction business running smoothly takes more than good administration – it takes someone who can bring structure to competing priorities, keep people connected and make sure nothing important gets missed. As an Office Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the head office while working closely with the COO and supporting teams across the wider business.
You’ll be the link between head office, construction sites, senior management and external stakeholders, ensuring information flows effectively, actions are followed through and essential administrative and compliance processes stay on track.
What’s in it for you:
- Salary of up to £45,000 depending on your experience.
- A permanent position where you can take genuine ownership of how the head office operates.
- Direct exposure to the COO and senior leadership, supporting operational priorities across the business.
- A varied remit spanning administration, construction operations, compliance, HR and procurement support.
- The opportunity to improve systems, processes and ways of working rather than simply maintaining what is already there.
- A position at the centre of a growing construction business, connecting teams.
Your responsibilities as Office Manager:
- Take ownership of day-to-day operations, including facilities, suppliers, equipment, correspondence and administrative systems.
- Support the COO with reports, spreadsheets, presentations, action trackers, management meetings and the follow-up of operational priorities.
- Coordinate information and documentation between head office and construction sites, maintaining accurate project, personnel, supplier and subcontractor records.
- Oversee health and safety administration, including fire safety, first aid, workplace inspections, inductions, servicing schedules and associated compliance records.
- Maintain effective document control and support company policies, ISO requirements, audits, pre-qualification processes and operational compliance.
- Provide wider administrative support across HR, finance and procurement, including onboarding, training records, purchase orders, invoices, expenses and supplier documentation.
What we’re looking for in an Office Manager:
- Previous experience within office management/administration, operations administration or a comparable position.
- Strong administrative skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, records and deadlines accurately.
- Experience maintaining administrative and compliance records, with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Construction industry experience would be advantageous, particularly involving site administration, document control, ISO systems, audits or project management systems.
- Experience supporting senior management and coordinating workplace health and safety, fire safety, first aid or similar compliance requirements would be beneficial.
If you’re ready to take ownership of a busy head office, support senior decision-makers and help keep construction operations organised and connected, apply today for the Office Manager position.
